Welcome to the Indiana University Global Secunia Page

The Secunia Corporate Software Inspector (CSI) Service represents one service component of the security solutions offered by UITS Leveraged Services. The Secunia service mission is to provide a mechanism to monitor your computer for known application program vulnerabilities, check for missing security patches, and report back to you with information on how to update those.

Using the Secunia desktop application in conjunction with the University Global Unified Device Management Services (SCCM), PGP, antivirus software, and Identity Finder provides a comprehensive strategy to protect your device(s) such as laptops, desktops, and mobile devices.

Indiana University's University Information Policy Office (UIPO) and UITS Leveraged Services has made available a licensed Secunia client to assist students and employees who have difficulty ensuring programs they have tried to remove (e.g., peer-to-peer file sharing programs) have actually been removed. These UIPO notification services are only offered when the IU version of PSI is installed through IUware, Get Connected, or Group Policy Object. Installations of PSI from Secunia’s website do not allow for reporting from the UIPO.

The Secunia software inspection products are available for Windows and Mac OS X operating systems. The program is available for IU students, faculty, and staff and available through IUware free of charge (Windows PSI and Secunia CSI for Mac OS X).
